Mark C. Pendleton has a singular focus to give the American people their government back. As an educator, husband, father and man of faith, he has lived the life that most Americans can identify with. He has enjoyed many successes but also encountered crushing failures. His is a story the average citizen can identify with and he is determined to use his time in the White House to reconnect American to the day to day activities of the government that represents them.
Pendleton was moved to take action and enter the political world after becoming increasingly frustrated with how power has been centralized in Washington. What was most frustrating to him was the fact that so many Americans seem to be ok giving distant officials so much power over their lives. He has also marveled at how these officials become increasingly distant from the people they serve, and how very few of them can actually identify with the daily struggles of ordinary Americans.
A Mark C. Pendelton Presidency would last only one term, by design, so that he can concentrate on fixing the problems Americans face and not have to spend every second distracted by thoughts of re-election. Pendleton feels that one term is enough time to get the American people re-engaged in their government and, once that happens, solutions to the many problems facing the country will appear. His administration will harken back to that of John F. Kennedy who famously proclaimed, “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What You Can Do For Your Country!”
Pendelton is running on a platform of economic recovery, a balanced budget within ten years, a strong yet fair approach to illegal immigration, strong regulation of the credit markets, a flat tax policy that dismantles much of the IRS and education reform that empowers children and their parents. All of his initiatives require the active participation of the American people because he firmly believes that when patriots take action America thrives.
